HS FOOT: Valencia rallying, up 14-13 at half

| | Comments (0) |

Down 13-0 with its playoff hopes slipping away by the moment, Valencia rallied. The Vikings drove 80 yards in 11 plays, as Nick Hale scored on a 2-yard run.

Valencia then took advantage of a roughing-the-punter penalty plus another 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty, extending a 77-yard, six-play drive climaxed by a 34-yard pass from Wilbert to Sean Maxoutopolis.

After getting sacked 11 times in a loss to Saugus last week, Wilbert was much better protected. He was sacked just once in the first half, completing 10 of 16 for 172 yards.
Holbrook was looked sharp, completing 5 of 8 for 158 yards and adding 50 yards rushing in the first two quarters.
