Crespi's win, the day after

| | Comments (0) |

It's 12 hours later and I'm still shaking my head over three plays in last night's game. How much respect did Mater Dei have for Crespi? Well, considering the Monarchs decided to go for 2-point conversions (both failed) on their first two scores at the end of the first half, I'd say a lot. But the play that really made me realize how much Crespi had shocked Mater Dei, was when the Monarchs decided to try and convert on 4th -and-2 from their own 31 yard line in the third quarter! They were only down 31-19 at the time, and there was a lot of time left, but the way Crespi was running the ball, and the way the Crespi defenders were beating people up, Mater Dei must've felt like every possession was a must-score.
