HS FOOT: West Torrance 7, Alemany 3 H

| | Comments (0) |

West Torrance looks like a tough team.

Antonio Bray came through with the biggest play of the first half for Alemany, catching a short pass and faking out three defenders on a 57-yard reception to the 11. But three plays later, McKernan was sacked for an 8-yard loss, and Alemany had to settle for Kyle Strazerri’s 31-yard field goal.

As expected, West Torrance consistently fed the football to returning standout Brian Baucham. In the first half, he carried 19 times for 107 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown. Baucham set up the touchdown with a 40-yard kick return, followed by a 33-yard run two plays later.

Alemany was making its first playoff appearance since 1999, while West Torrance is a returning Western Division finalist.
