It's a final, De La Salle 37, Centennial 31

Wow, that turned out to be a fantastic game. For a while, it was looking like a rout, but Centennial showed a lot of pride in scoring 24 straight points in the second half to tie the game at 31-31. But De La Salle made the big plays when it counted, stopping star running back Ryan Bass on a key 4th-down play in the fourth quarter, then intercepting Matt Scott's last ditch effort to seal the victory.

De La Salle could've easily scored at the end to seal the win, but it kneeled down twice, inside the Centennial 10 yard line to run out the clock

``They're all class,'' Centennial coach Matt Logan said. ``I expect nothing less from a classy program like that.''

After the game, the general consensus on the field and in the press box was that this game was a classic. It's hard to appreciate things like that, as they're happening, but De La Salle star Travis Currie did.

``That was the best game I've ever played in,'' Currie said. ``They are a great, great team. ... But we really wanted this game. Last year, I don't think we played to our full potential so we worked all season to get back to this game and this stadium. It was all about redemption for us.''
