Poly takes lead 13-3, fourth quarter

Forget about the rain, it’s coming down very light now as the fourth quarter begins. The Jackrabbits still lead 6-3. Crespi kicker Christian Nastos had a 33-yard field goal attempt blocked late in the third quarter.

Instead of a tie game, Crespi lost a fumble on its next possession.

Poly is driving in Celts’ territory with 10: 00 left in the game.

After the Jackrabbits pulled out a win by forcing a Lutheran of Orange fumble in last week’s semifinal as time expired, there’s no telling how late will this game be decided and if these fumbles will have anything to do with it.

Well, the ball was pretty secure in Poly running back Melvin Richardson’s hands as he blasted through the middle of the Crespi defense for a 4-yard touchdown run.

Long Beach Poly 13, Crespi 3.
