Girls Basketball: Park-Sherman Scores 30

Doris Park-Sherman scored 30 points to help Newbury Park stay in second place in the Marmontel league in a 72-60 home victory against Westlake.

Junior Sidney Dobnar added 17 points and made all eight of her free throws for the Panthers (8-13, 7-2).

Mhiah Vickers scored 28 points for Westlake. Sophomore Taylor Ignato had 27 for the Warriors.

Newbury Park is one game behind league leader Royal of Simi Valley and hosts the Pioneers Wed. Feb. 6
