GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Quartz Hill gets first win against Palmdale since 1993

The Quartz Hill Girls' Basketball ended 15 years of frustration with a resounding 73-51 Golden League victory over Palmdale Tuesday night.

Freshman point guard Brieanna Perkins scored 21 points and had six assists. The Mew sisters, Rian and Regan, chipped with 10 and 14 points respectively. Senior Ashleigh Wilson contributed with 11 points.

It was Quartz Hill's first win against Palmdale since 1993, according to head coach Steve Brumwell.

Tijeda Matthews scored a game-high 29 points for Palmdale.
