lightning.jpgAgoura's Doug Shumway has committed to Cal Poly SLO, the first Agoura quarterback since Ryan McCann in 1997 to commit to an NCAA Division I scholarship.

Shumway committed Tuesday after a weekend recruiting visit. He passed for 2,023 yards and 19 touchdowns this past season.

"Cal Poly is getting an outstanding player," said Charlie Wegher, Agoura's 14-year head coach. "I tell you what. I wish I could have had him for a few more games because he was just hitting his stride."
