HS HOOPS: Crespi frosh Coates one to watch

| | Comments (0) |

Freshman Reggie Coates is making quite an impact at Crespi, not just as a basketball player – he’s the Celts third-leading scorer – but as a football player, too. After an impressive first year as a running back/defensive lineman on the freshman team, Coates, a 6-foot, 200-pounder, is averaging 7.3 points and 5.9 rebounds on the hardwood.

“We’re happy to have him. Reggie has great instincts,” coach Russell White said. “He’s not really looking to shoot outside yet, but he handles the ball well and he’s strong. He’s going to be pretty good.”
