BOYS' BASKETBALL
Senior shooting guard Gian Cook scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds and Freshman center A.J. Woodson added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Faith Baptist of Canoga Park (10-5, 2-0) in a 73-58 Heritage League victory over Santa Clarita Christian of Canyon Country.
GIRLS' BASKETBALL
Oaks Christian of Westlake Village's Chelsea Carlisle continues her scoring rampage with 30 points, including five 3-pointers, in the Lions' 49-37 Tri-Valley League victory against Oak Park. The senior point guard, who is averaging a league-leading 24.6 points per game, has been hot from behind arch, hitting 17 3-pointers in her last three games. Oaks Christian is 12-3 overall and 4-1 in league.
Lauren Varney scored 18 points to lead Oak Park (7-9, 3-1).
GIRLS' SOCCER
Robyn Estrada had a hat trick to extend Desert Christian of Lancasters' unbeaten streak to 33 games with a 5-1 High Desert League victory over Bishop Union of Bishop. The Knights (14-0-1), the defending Southern Section Division VI Champions, last defeat came at the hands of Tehachapi, 2-1, in the Lancaster Tournament in December of 2006.
GIRLS' WATER POLO
Casey Clark had six goals, four steals and an assist to lead host Agoura (12-6, 7-0) to a 15-7 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League match. Casey Flacks and Perri Hopkins added three goals each. Flacks also had seven assists and Hopkins added one.
LOCAL HEROES EXTRA
Cory Davis hit eight 3-pointers and finished with 35 points for Reseda in a 83-68 Valley Mission League victory over San Fernando Wednesday night.
