As college baseball season approaches, five former local standouts have been selected to the Preseason All-Western Athletic Conference team. Fresno senior outfielder Steve Susdorf (Hart of Newhall), senior shortstop Todd Sandell (Camarillo) and senior pitcher Jason Breckley (Moorpark) joined Nevada's sophomore first baseman Shaun Kort (El Camino Real of Woodland Hills) and senior designated hitter Terry Walsh (Loyola of Los Angeles) in receiving recognition.
Susdorf was named the WAC's preseason player of the year after hitting .340 with 68 RBIs and 12 home runs last season.
