galen center TWO.jpgTaft started slowly, failing to score during the first three minutes before finally pulling ahead for good, 15-13 on Eugene Phelps’ three-point play.

Reserve Michael Williams provided instant offense in the second quarter, hitting three consecutive 3-pointers to help Taft stretch the lead to 11.

Phelps scored 15 in the first half, shooting 7 of 7 from the floor.
