HS HOOPS: Johnson back in action for Campbell Hall

hoops.jpgJames Johnson, Campbell Hall of North Hollywood's standout center, returned Wednesday after missing one basketball game and two days of school because of strep throat.

“I’m OK now,” Johnson said.

Johnson, a 6-foot-6 sophomore, is averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds. For Saturday’s 9 a.m. Div. III-AA championship against Price of Los Angeles, Johnson has been assigned the task of guarding Tyrese Bresheres, a 6-7, 260-pound standout who has signed with Washington.

“I’m pretty physical. It’s going to be a battle of the big guys,” Johnson said.
