HS HOOPS: Taft in trouble against King ... Will Toreadors rebound?
King has looked very impressive, coming from six points down to lead by five at the half, 34-29.
In the first quarter, King relied almost exclusively on Eric Wise, who scored 13 points, while the visiting Wolves did not commit a turnover.
In the second quarter, Taft did a good job clamping down on Wise by switching to a zone defense. But two 3-pointers by Riverside's Greg Gentry sparked a 12-5 run to end the half, and here we are with Taft in serious need of a regroup if it wants to remain alive.
Larry Drew has scored 10 for Taft, but nothing since a 3-pointer two minutes into the second quarter.
