Basketball: Local Coach Wins New Car at L.A Lakers Game Friday Night

Nick Kindel, an assistant coach at El Camino Real in Woodland Hills won a brand new Toyota Highlander Friday night at halftime of the Lakers vs. Mavericks game.

Kindel was one of four contestants in a skills challenge and was the only one to record a perfect score of 12 points.

Kindel made a lay up, calmly tossed four basketball through a padded cylinder and then made four consecutive free throws all in under 45 seconds.

The other three contestants all made it to the shooting stage unscathed but could not match Kindel's shoting accuracy.

Kindel posed for a photograph with the Lakers Girls dance squad at half court after the competition.

Kindel graduated from El Camino Real in 2005.
