HS BASE: They don't call him Cutter for nothing

Westlake center fielder Cutter Dykstra, son of former Major Leaguer Lenny Dykstra, received stitches in his head Wednesday after running into the fence trying to save a home run by Newbury Park's Jojo Sharrar in the first inning of a 5-0 loss.

“It really wasn’t that bloody. Cutter is fine,” Westlake coach Zach Miller said. “The kid just leaves it all on the field, and when he tried to rob a home run, he hit the fence and the ball was jarred loose.”
