After falling short last year, Viewpoint of Calabasas won its first section baseball championship with a 7-2 victory over defending champion Upland Christian at UC Riverside saturday afternoon.

Michael Cameron delivered the big hit, a three-run home run in the top of the third inning to extend the Patriots lead to 5-0. Cameron was the losing pitcher in the 2007 final.

Ben Salzman got the victory to improve to 9-3 on the season and also had two hits. The senior also had a run-scoring single in the fifth inning.

Jordan Kaplan went 2 for 4 with two runs scored including an RBI single in the first inning.
