Boys Hoops: Stover Offered By UCLA, On Heels of Sylmar's Honeycutt

| | Comments (0) |

Anthony Stover, a 6'10 forward from tiny Renaissance Academy, who can block shots with the best of them, was offered a scholarship today from UCLA.

Stover has really blossomed in the past two years, going from project to high-major prospect.

"I thought an offer might come because they (UCLA coaches) were coming to see me play a lot the past week," Stover said. "I was hoping they would offer. They are in my top five. I will still take my visits in the fall though."

Stover has been offered by nearly half of the PAC-10 conference and has UCONN very interested in his services.

UCLA has been very busy lately, offering its second player in th region in less than a week.

A few days ago, Bruin coach Ben Howland extended an offer to Sylmar High 6'9 wing prospect Tyler Honeycutt.

Honeycutt burst onto the scene this spring and summer showcasing himself at travel ball tournaments with the Chatsworth-based Pump-N-Run team.
