Boys Hoops: Transfer Talk and Tidbits. Renaissance Academy Moving And Shaking

After transferring from Taft of Woodland Hills to Reseda, Dushon Carter is on the move again.

Coach Sid Cooke at Renaissance Academy told me Carter is expected to enroll at the La Canada school after his family moves into the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles.

Carter was one of four controversial transfers from Taft to Reseda and was slated to start at guard for the Regents.

A few wees ago it was widely reported that Tre Mauldin from Lancaster might be on the move, with the likely destination being Renaissance Academy.

However, Cooke said because of a death in the family, Mauldin will probabaly stay at Lancaster. The Eagles are still looking for a coach after the abrupt departure of David Humphreys, who resigned to take the same position at Santiago High in Corona.

Cooke also said Hector Harold, a 6'7 wing is looking into attending a prep school for his senior year and Renaissance Academy is the front runner for one of the best incoming freshman in the Pasadena area.

Dion Nelson, a highly regarded guard prospect is expected to enroll for classes in Septmeber.
