HS FOOT: Ex-Crespi standout Radley now at Taft

| | Comments (3) |

Expelled from Crespi High because of academic and disciplinary reasons, top linebacker Lucky Radley has enrolled at Taft and is scheduled to begin football practice Monday, said Taft coach Matt Kerstetter.

"He's here today (Friday), and he's taken care of all his enrollment paperwork," Kerstetter said.

Radley, a junior, totaled more than 100 tackles with five sacks to help Crespi to the Pac 5 final last season.

It wasn't disciplinary. Strictly because he didn't pass a Summer school geometry class which he has since then made up.

It really is irrelevant & frankly no ones business why Radley was expelled he sounds like he is a very productive player & Taft should be excited to add him to their team. With the tandem of Lucky Radley & D.J. Morgan on offense or defense should lift them to Championship caliber status it seems to me it's a terrible loss for Crespi. They've been subpar for quite a few years. Crespi hasn't won any Championships they may have a few good athletes here and there, sounds like Crespi is still going to be CRAPPY! Taft speaks for itself they've been producing NFL&NBA star athletes for years. Crespi thought they've done something to Radley seems to me and everyone else they've done him a FAVOR.

why is it necessary to keep bashing a kid who didn't do well in a geometry but has since made it up and tried to do the right thing.Your first article said it was because of a summer school class now its disciplinary reasons.Wow from the Crespi coach to all other coaches have all said he's a great kid.I think the disciplinary thing is a little far fetched. On a positive note I'm so happy to see that Taft has a star player added to their team.It will be exciting to see him play and grow with a school that has a reputation for WINNING and producing star athletes.Looks like a Reggie Bush and Lyndell White combination has hit Taft, we will finally see some exciting football in the Valley! GOOD LUCK TO HIM AND HIS FAMILY!
