Golden Valley's Totten should be a factor at first Foothill League meet

| | Comments (0) |

Seth Totten became the first Golden Valley runner in program history to win a race Saturday at the 28th Woodbridge Cross Country Classic, capturing the Div. IV junior boys' race in the morning in 15 minutes, 17 seconds, finishing ahead of La Canada's Aayush Shah.

Totten was the third-fastest runner from the Foothill League, behind Saugus' Alec Nelson (14:58) and Brandon Jauregui (15:09) -- who both competed in the boys' sweepstakes race -- and the area's No. 8 performer Saturday on the flat 3-mile course.

Totten will get an opportunity to race head to head with Nelson and Jauregui at the first Foothill League meet Thursday at the Castaic course.
