West Ranch runs wild in Ojai

After moving into the No. 10 spot in this week's Southern Section Div. I rankings, the West Ranch girls' cross country team demonstrated its strength Saturday at the Ojai Invitational, as the Wildcats swept the top three spots on the Lake Casitas course.

Junior Bailey Miller won in 18 minutes, 49 seconds and freshmen Ashley Welker and Samantha Phillips took second and third in 19:20 and 20:00. Junior Jennifer Owen finished in 20:27 and sophomore Kendahl Waalk was the Wildcats' No. 5 runner at 21:04.
