HS FOOT: Cleveland hoping for a piece of Birmingham

| | Comments (0) |

Cleveland is 4-3 under new coach Vinnie Johnson, as the Cavaliers have totaled one victory than they had in the 25 games prior to Johnson's arrival from Birmingham, where he was an assistant and head JV coach.

Last year, Birmingham defeated Cleveland 82-0 - one of the most lopsided routs in area history - and the rematch is Friday at Cleveland.

"You know, it's just another game, and Birmingham is a tough opponent - to me they're the best in the City," Johnson said. "But 82-0? We should give a little better fight than that."

Johnson said he has several players with the potential to succeed at the next level, including WR/S Curtis Hudson, QB Tim Brown, WR Travion and WR Tavarus Sterling.
