I girls' varsity race in 17 minutes, 50.50 seconds, Saugus sophomore cross country runner Kaylin Mahoney was named state girls' athlete of the week by Dyestatcal.com.

Mahoney, the state's top-ranked runner in Div. II, also ascended to No. 4 in the West Regional individual rankings, according to Mile Split Network.
