Chaminade beats St. Francis 39-34, wins coin flip

Chaminade defeated St. Francis 39-34 in the regular-season finale Friday night, then secured the Mission League's No. 2 entry in the Western Division playoffs by winning a three-way coin flip with St. Francis and St. Paul following the game.

Alemany won the league title with a 33-13 victory over St. Paul, which finished tied with Chaminade and St. Francis at 1-2 in league.

St. Francis, which defeated St. Paul 15-14, has the advantage in petitioning for an at-large berth for the Western Division playoffs. The pairings will be released Sunday.
