HS FOOT: Chaminade in playoffs
Chaminade of West Hills, a major disappointment all season long, saved its season friday night with a victory against St. Francis of La Canada-Flintridge.
The Eagles (2-8, 1-2) then won a coin flip and be the No. 2 representative from the Mission League.

What an overdue and well deserved victory for the boys at Chaminade!!!! There's probably not a better group of young men that this wonderful victory and now opportunity to paticipate in the playoffs could have happened for, but this opportunity is entirely due to the team's(the young men)efforts and perserverance during a very surprisingly disappointing season. This was not a victory deserving to the coaching staff, and should not deter the administration of Chaminade to search for a replacement for the entire coaching staff for next season. This team should have and could have won at least 5 additional games this season, if they had a decent and respected coach and staff. The boys did not deserve this type of season and certainly do not deserve a similar one for next year. Our hearts and thoughts go out to this year's Seniors, but they have fought hard and have earned this wonderful opportunity to make the playoffs (despite the awful coaching along the way). We simply pray and hope that the coaching staff "does the right things" and gives the boys a chance to be successful through the playoffs........................God Bless Chaminade and GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!
