HS FOOT: Notre Dame going for league title tonight

| | Comments (0) |

notre dame.jpgHere we are at Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks for the final game of the season against Bishop Amat, and the Serra League title is on the line.

Notre Dame, led by quarterback Ryan Kasdorf, is 9-0, 2-0 -- and ranked No. 1 in the nation by Maxpreps -- and upset-minded Bishop Amat is 7-2, 1-1.

Here's a scoop from my learned collegue Fred Robeldo from the San Gabriel Tribune: Bishop Amat quarterback Jerry McClanahan is benched for the first half because he was late to a meeting this morning.

Oh, and if there are any coin flips necessary tonight -- could happen, based on what goes down with Crespi-Loyola down the way on Ventura Boulevard -- the festivities are slated for late tonight at a nearby El Torito.
