Josue Damas had 16 points to lead the Romans (1-0).

L.A. High trailed 17-2 at the outset but came back for the win.

Carlos Campos and Kevin Nguyen combined for 30 points for Downtown but only nine came in the second half.

Kiki Kambow had 14 second half points to lead the Pythons (4-2) in the mild upset.

Andre Frasier had 18 points to lead the Guards (3-2) but was zero of five from the free-throw line.

Bell-Jeff lost in the championship of the St. Monica tournament on Saturday.

Sierra Canyon 63
Canoga Park 45

Michael Cohen had 17 points to lead the Trailblazers (5-0). Sierra Canyon won the Viewpoint tournament Saturday afternoon. Cohen was four of four at the free throw line in the first half but only two of 10 in the second half.

Freshman Jesse Howell and Julian Brooks had 14 and 10 points respectively for Sierra Canyon.

Brooks is the younger brother of former Taft and Notre Dame standout Pierce Brooks.

Thomas Simien had 21 points to lead Canoga Park.

Malibu 62
Hillcrest Christian/ Granada Hills 52

Chandler Abbott had 31 points to lead Malibu. Kyle Payne had 21 for Hillcrest Chr.
