Boys Hoops: Simi Valley wins Crescenta Valley tournament

Last week, Simi Valley lost in overtime in the championship of it's own tournament against surprising Golden Valley of Santa Clarita.

The Pioneers (7-1) made sure another championship would not be lost Saturday night in the finals of the Crescenta Valley tournament.

Brad Lewis scored 33 points, including 24 in the second half, helping the Pioneers to a 70-53 victory against host Crescenta Valley.

Simi Valley went on a 25-5 run after being tied at 42.

Lewis has been on a tear as of late, netting 30 points or more for the fourth time this season.
