Girls Hoops: Crescenta Valley tourney

The championship game is set for the Crescenta Valley tourney.

Saturday's game will feature Montclair Prep vs. upstart Oaks Christian.

The Mounties advanced with pool play victories against Notre Dame and Sylmar and then a semifinal victory against Thousand Oaks.

The Lions, under the direction of former Cleveland of Reseda coach Andre Chevalier, beat Whittier, Grant of Van Nuys and host Crescenta Valley.

Oaks Christian has been a pleasant surprise in the early going, especially after losing Chelsea Carlisle to graduation last year.
