HS BASE: Ex-area standouts now at Pierce

| | Comments (0) |

Three of the San Fernando Valley's top graduated baseball pitchers last season, Chatsworth's James Wharton, Kennedy's Carlos Gonzalez and Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks' Nic Rodarte, are playing for Pierce College.

"We're going to have a good team," Gonzalez said. "Last year, they were OK but didn't make the playoffs. This year, we're looking good."

Returning sophomore pitcher John Bromberg (Palisades) is another key player.
