HS FOOT: Hey, I recognize those colors

| | Comments (0) |

Quartz Hill plays host to visiting Alemany of Mission Hills on Saturday in the Western semifinals, and the matchup could tinge some memories for Quartz Hill coach Pat Degnan, who was Alemany's head coach for five years beginning in 1991.

"It might be a little weird," Degnan said.

The early 1990s was not a great era in Alemany football, as Degnan totaled just eight career victories.

The ups and downs have continued for Degnan, but he has proved himself a winner at Quartz Hill, as the Rebels are enjoying their finest season since in 18 years and are in the running for their first football title in school history.
