Wrestling on Thursday night
Some results are in:
In Mission League wrestling, Alemany beat Crespi 43-33 in a rough dual meet that had several injuries, a controversial finish and a diss of Alemany's Gary Espinosa by his former team Crespi.
Crespi's lighter weights did well - with Alex Bader pinning Tony Verelo and Angelo Gasparro. Garrett Morris and Scott Haskell winning, but then the heavier guys for Alemany - including Akeem Gonzales (215), Anthony Espinosa (189) and Mike Mendoza (171) all won to lead the Warriors to their second Mission League in a row.
Gary Espinosa would have been the marquee match - since this was his final home match in his senior year - but Crespi sent out no one to meet him and he won by forfeit.
Here are some photos from Alemany/Crespi
Here is Akeem Gonzales pinning Andrew Agajanian of Crespi (on the bottom)
Anthony Espinosa of Alemany (in white) jumping all over Ryan Callahan.
Espinosa and Callahan again, with Anthony picking up Callahan and dumping him. Espinosa won that match 20-5.
