HS FOOT: Agoura's Radley ready to break out

| | Comments (0) |

Just touched base with the always quotable Lucky Radley, and the Agoura High junior running back/linebacker happily reports San Diego State has offered a scholarship -- and that Washington probably will offer, too.

"I'm not leaning toward anyone ... but Washington is about to pull the trigger," Radley said. "I am looking for academics and where I'll best fit in as far as making an impact early."

Radley, 5-foot-10, 185 pounds, projects as a strong safety in college, but after rushing for more than 1,000 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns in just nine games last season, he could fit in at running back.

"I just ran a 4.4 40-yard dash, and that's pretty good for a running back," Radley said. "San Diego State offered me as an athlete, and they say they'll give me every opportunity to play running back."

San Diego has a great climate, but Radley said that's not a deciding factor.

"Weather doesn't matter because if I get to the NFL I'll have to play in all kinds of weather," he said.
