21-5 KNIGHTS (9-2 Mission League) CLINCH TIE FOR LEAGUE TITLE

The Knights of Notre Dame Sherman Oaks clinched at least a tie for the 2009
Mission League Crown with a 4-2 win over Loyola at home today. They can
still win the league outright with a win on Thursday at Loyola or a Crespi
loss in either of their next two.

The winning pitcher was Josh Goossen-Brown, with a complete game. He also
picked off two runners at second base in the game. The losing pitcher was
Spencer Jack.

Three home runs in the game. Two for ND. Nick LaFace a two run homer, and
Kelly Dugan, a solo to center. For Loyola a solo for Garrett Cooper.

Also for ND, David Armendariz (RBI) and Josh Goossen Brown had doubles. For
Loyola Kevin Grove had a double.

Knights 4 runs on 6 hits and no errors. Cubs 2 runs on 11 hits and no
errors.
