Locals shine in offense barrage - while pitching a "no-no"

Adam Landecker had seven RBIs and Jordan Berger drove in four runs to key
the USA offense, while Max Fried combined with Steven Fielkow to pitch five
No-Hit
innings as the United States beat Israel 29-1 on Tuesday.

The Sportek crowd of 823 took delight in the USA's best offensive output of
the 2009 Maccabiah Games, hitting three homeruns, that included a Grand Slam
by Adam Landecker (Calabasas), 3-run HR by Drew Sandler (Simi Valley) and a
2-run shot by Jordan Berger(Taft).

Max Fried (Montclair Prep) had 2 hits and 2 RBIs to go with recording the
last six outs of the game, striking out 5 in 2 IP as the USA goes to 2-0 in
qualyfiying.

Next up for the USA is Canada.
