HS FOOT: Bus breakdown like a day at the beach

| | Comments (0) |

Hart took a long road trip Thursday up the coast to Santa Maria for a football game at Righetti, and about halfway one of team buses broke down.

"It was a little hectic," coach Mike Herrington said. "I had to put the starters on one bus, and I waited behind with the others for another bus to come, so we ended up barely making it to the game on time."

But things worked out because the breakdown happened to occur at an exit right at the beach.

"The kids got out and spent an hour and a half on the beach instead of sitting in a hot bus," Herrington said.

Plus, Hart won 27-13, giving the Indians (2-1) two victories in a row heading into a showdown Friday against visiting Westlake (2-0) at College of the Canyons.
