According to several sources within the inner basketball circle in Southern California, rumors are flying rampant the controversial Pump brothers could be ending a nearly 25-year relationship with adidas.

David and Dana Pump have had a long-running relationship with the shoe and apparel company, receiving money and product for its elite travel basketball teams, usually made up of some of the top players in the country.

It is not clear why there could be a break-up but the economy and other issues have been cited as possible sticking points.

One of the brothers denied any such falling out and denied a meeting taking place on Thursday in Las Vegas with adidas representatives.

When contacted by phone at 10 p.m. Wednesday and asked about a split, David Pump responded, "Absolutely not, everything is fine."

Rumors also surfaced the Pumps have made inquiries with Nike and Under Armour for possible basketball relationships.
