HS FOOT: Arleta's Choto having another good year

Arleta's Bryan Choto passed for a career-high 258 yards Friday in a 62-0 victory over North Hollywood. For the season, Choto, a three-year starter, has completed 76.4 percent for 937 yards and 14 touchdowns with one interception.

OTHER NOTES: Chris Walker is having a breakout junior season at Reseda. He has 16 receptions for 437 yards - an average of 27.3 yards - and four touchdowns, including a 95-yarder.

Palmdale has won 40 of its past 41 Golden League games heading into Friday's game at Antelope Valley. ... Kyle Steffes, one of the Southland's top kickers, is having an MVP-type season for Paraclete of Lancaster. He kicked four field goals Friday to account for all the scoring in a 12-0 victory over Whittier Christian, giving him eight field goals this season. Steffes also is averaging 40.8 yards on punts, and he has recorded 19 touchbacks on 30 kickoffs.
