HS FOOT: Notre Dame surges to 28-point halftime lead over Dominguez

| | Comments (0) |

Ryan Kasdorf has connected with Patrick Dayao for three touchdowns passes of 15, 8 and 42 yards, as Notre Dame leads 34-7 over Dominguez at halftime.

In the final minute of the first half, Dominguez was down by just 20 points and drove to the Notre Dame 15. But two plays later, Notre Dame's Ben Gottschalk sacked Chris Brown on fourth down, and Notre Dame took over on its own 28.

In methodical fashion, Kasdorf completed three consecutive passes -- a 14-yarder to Tyler Thomas, a 16-yarder to Kimati Ramsey, then a 42-yard touchdown to Dayao as time expired to make it 34-7.

Through two quarters, Notre Dame outgained the Dons 341-140, and Kasdorf was the key. He completed 8 of 13 for 161 yards and three touchdowns, and he rushed for 83 yards on six carries, including a 21-yard touchdown.
