| | Comments (0) |

Michael Bercovici, a promising junior quarterback who was an effective backup at Westlake, said family reasons is why he abruptly moved to Woodland Hills and transferred to Taft on Monday.

"It was a family move for family reasons," said Bercovici, who did not elaborate further.

As of Wednesday, Bercovici is Taft's No. 3 quarterback behind three-year starter Bam Goodall and backup Nate Forer, but Taft coach Matt Kerstetter conceded Bercovici could make up ground quickly depending on how quickly he learns Taft's no-huddle offense. there is also a plan for Bercovici to take "about four snaps" on Friday against host Serra of Gardena.
