Paraclete's Todd Davis receives first offer from Sacrameto State

The Hornets jump out early with offer to Spirits defensive all-star


Lancaster, CA - Paraclete head Coach Norm Dahlia announced today that senior defenseman Todd Davis has received his first offer from Sacramento State earlier today. Dahlia stated the that Hornets have offered Davis a full-scholarship effective immediately. Davis is scheduled to take a recruiting trip to Sacramento State the weekend of 11/21/2009.


Dahlia also noted that UC Davis and Fresno State have also shown gaining interest in the senior. Davis is scheduled to take a recruiting trip to UC Davis the weekend of 11/14/2009.

Davis has not committed at this time.

Biography:

2009: Named defensive player to watch during the preseason by LA Times...named team captain...is a current nine game two-way starter for the Spirits...leads the team in solo tackles (39), assisted tackles (67), and 106 total tackles...also leads the team with 25 tackles for loss...Davis is also credited with three sacks, one caused fumble, and one fumble recovery.

2008: Named defensive player to watch during the preseason by both LA Daily News and LA Times...Was a 14 game two-way starter on the varsity team... finished the year ranked second on defense with 164 total tackles...led the team with 20 tackles-for-loss and 13 sacks...also had two interceptions, three pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks...Recipient of Utility Player of Year Award...Named Antelope Valley Small School Defensive Player of the Year by AV Press...Named All-Olympic League Defensive MVP...Selected All-CIF Mid-Valley Division Team - Defense...Selected All-State Division 3 Second Team - Defense.

2007: Played his sophomore year on the varsity team where he continued to standout on both sides of the ball...finished the year with 83 total tackles...led the team with 11 sacks...also responsible for causing two fumbles...Selected All-Olympic League First Team - Defense...Selected All-CIF Mid-Valley Division Team - Defense.

2006: Played his first full season at Paraclete High School on the junior varsity team...Recipient of Lineman of the Year Award.
