HS FOOT: At Taft, it's a rap

| | Comments (0) |

If a career in football does not work out for linebacker Devonte Winbush of Taft of Woodland Hills, he might have a shot as a rap artist.

Before games, Winbush entertains his teamamtes with inpromptu free-style raps. I happened to be nearby and caught a few lines last week just before Taft's playoff victory over Garfield of L.A., and Winbush sounded like he could be the next Snoop Dogg or Eminem.

"Yeah, Devonte's got some musical talent. He's really good at rapping," Taft running back Lucky Radley said. "He's a great free-styler. A couple of the other guys, D.J. Morgan and Antwaun Woods, are good, too, but Devonte is the best."
