HS FOOT: Future stars on display on local Pop Warner team

| | Comments (0) |

If you want a sneak peak at some of the football stars of tomorrow, check out the Northridge Knights' Pop Warner team. The 12-year-olds are 9-0 and unscored upon heading into a playoff game vs. East Valley on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sylmar High.

Northridge has some good bloodlines, too. Running back Leo Lambert, who has scored 18 touchdowns, is the nephew of Dion Lambert, head coach at Kennedy of Granada Hills. Another running back, Kenny Carew, is the brother former UCLA running back Ryen Carew, who played at Sylmar and Verdugo Hills. And then there is Bryan McNab, the son of Notre Dame High defensive coordinator Joe McNab, who helps to coach the defense.
