HS FOOT: QBs are on the mark

Quarterbacks Nick Isham and Alex Bishop of Valencia are on the verge of setting a new area standard for passing accuracy.

Isham of Westlake has completed 75.5. percent of his passes (105 of 139) for 1,607 yards and 23 touchdowns with two interceptions, and Bishop has completed 74.9 percent (134 of 179) for 2,618 yards and 29 touchdowns with two interceptions.

The most accurate single-season performance in area history is 72.4 percent by Samson Szakacsy of Camarillo in 2005. The state record is 78.1 by Trent Edwards of Los Gatos in 2000.
