Notre Dame (9-2) at Mission Viejo (11-0) -- Notre Dame could use a big performance by QB Ryan Kasdorf, as the Knights face a teethy Mission Viejo defense that has yet to allow more than two TDs in a game.

NORTHERN

Valencia (11-0) at Buena (9-2), 7 p.m. - After more than two months of easy one-sided victories, Valencia got a scare in the first round with a one-point win over .500 Thousand Oaks. Let's see how Valencia responds.

Camarillo (10-1) at Moorpark (10-1) - Camarillo QB Jeff Matthews has passed for 35 TDs, but the Scorpions have yet to face an opponent of Moorpark's caliber.

Westlake (11-0) at Hueneme (8-3) - Westlake, led by QB Nick Isham and WR Nelson Spruce, should have no problem, but the one scary thing about Hueneme is it has nothing to lose after going 0-10 in 2008.

St. Bonaventure (10-1) at Newbury Park (9-2) - Newbury Park, led by QB Jake Geringer, RB Cameron Roberson and WR/DB Philip Muscarella, can play spoiler, as two-time Northern Section/CIF State Div. III Bowl champion St. Bonaventure has eight section titles over the past 10 years.

WESTERN

Mira Costa (9-2) at Chaminade (7-4) - Chaminade is an underdog vs. top-seed

St. Francis (9-2) at Palmdale (9-2) - This one is too close to call.

Alemany (8-3) at Warren (10-1), 7 p.m. - Will Alemany junior QB Vernon Adams rise to occasion?

SOUTHEAST

Burbank (9-2) at California (8-2-1) - Burbank must contend with California's big OL

South Hills (9-2) vs. Crescenta Valley (8-3) at Glendale HS - Crescenta Valley is on the brink

NORTHWEST

Oaks Christian (11-0) at Harvard-Westlake (7-3) - High-scoring O.C. is too hard to stop

MID-VALLEY

Monrovia (11-0) vs. Paraclete (7-4) at Knight HS, 7 p.m. - Paraclete prides itself on defense

EAST VALLEY

Grace Brethren (6-5) at Oak Hills (9-2) - Grace Brethren loves to pass the football
