HS FOOT: Valencia chasing Hart's past success

| | Comments (0) |

Since the Foothill League changed its configuration in 1992 to include the four Santa Clarita schools (Canyon, Hart of Newhall, Saugus and Valencia), Hart is the only one ever to finish undefeated in football through the regular season.

But that could change Friday if Valencia (9-0) finishes perfect by defeating West Ranch of Stevenson Ranch.

"We've been fortunate to be in position to win every game so far, and it's a credit to our coaches," Valencia quarterback Alex Bishop said. "They've prepared us very well, and they've instilled a great work ethic."
