Boys Basketball: Jamerson is the Valley's hottest coach

| | Comments (0) |

Sierra Canyon of Chatsworth keeps knocking off bigger schools.

It's latest victim was Antelope Valley of Lancaster on Wednesday in the fifth place game of the San Fernando Valley Invitational at Kennedy High in Granada Hills.

Michael Cohen made seven 3-pointers en route to 23 points as the Trailblazers (7-2) beat the Lopes, 42-41.

Sophomore Jesse Howell made one of two free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining and Sierra Canyon made it stand up.

The Trailblazers beat Chaminade of West Hills and Crespi of Encino earlier putting a dent on the Mission League.

Coach Colin Jamerson has done a wonderful job utilizing his personnel.

Jamerson doesn't have a deep bench and has his team playing a great zone defense and being opportunistic on offense.

One of the youngest coaches in the region in his early twenties, Jamerson has a bright future.
