Boys Basketball: Mission Prep tourney update

Campbell Hall of North Hollywood took third place in the National Division with a 55-46 victory against Pasadena.

One night after getting throttled by Taft of Woodland Hills, Campbell Hall rebounded behind 22 points from Louisiana Tech-bound forward James Johnson and 19 points from junior guard Austin McBroom.

Birmingham of Lake Balboa could be a surprise in the West Valley League after winning the Elite Division in a 69-40 victory against Rio Americano of Sacramento.

Sahdi Odu had 25 points and Angel Gutierrez added 19.

In another game, Sylmar beat Washington Prep of Los Angeles.
