Boys Basketball: Montclair Prep wins behind soph. guards

Montclair Prep of Van Nuys beat West Ranch, 71-57 in a consolation game at the San Fernando Valley Invitational tournament at Kennedy High.

Sophomore guards Trey Dickerson and Max Fried scored 23 and 15 points respectively to lead the Mounties.

Dickerson is a transfer from New York and Fried is a top left-handed pitcher for the baseball team.

Montclair Prep has no seniors on the team and could challenge Campbell Hall and Windward in the Olympic League
